We Have Arrived

The last two days have been long and hard. Over 4500 miles in the air yesterday, a very pleasant and enjoyable evening last night (which turned out to be a lousy night's sleep as my body could not figure out what was going on) and then a 4 hour drive down highway 1 from Anchorage to Ninilchick today with the ghost of Dale Earnhardt Sr. at the wheel (aka Jordan Uselton who lives in NYC and never drives). It was quite the experience.

Once we arrived and got settled in it was literally an awesome wonder to behold. The view of the Alaskan range and the various views of the lodge and all if its surroundings are incredible. I cannot explain, I cannot give you an adequate description, but I will give you my very best over the next few days to hopefully detail the wonder of it all. We have yet to "wet a line" and we are absolutely thrilled and amazed.

Pictures will be forthcoming and I am going to attempt to set up a picture album/slide show on the blog for you to peruse. But let it be known and let it be made clear that the pictures do not do this land, this place, this lodge, these people, and these fish, the justice due. Make no mistake about it.

So for now I am going to go to bed and hopefully catch up on my sleep because tomorrow Jordan and I will be up at 5 am and on the prowl for Halibut and King Salmon.
